Hawaii's Nene Geese Playing in the Taro Patch

The Hawaiian Nene Geese is a species of bird endemic to the Hawaiian Islands. The nene is exclusively found in the wild on the islands of Maui, Kauai, Molokai and the Big Island. In 1957, Hawaii designated the nene as its official state bird. While visiting the Kauai Light House, I was fortunate to spot a few nene geese on the grounds of the Light House. I immediately photographed them to later recapture its beauty and uniqueness on canvas.
