I'iwi Birds playing in the O'hia Lehua Trees

$15.00

The I'iwi bird or scarlet honeycreeper is a species of the Hawaiian honeycreeper. The I'iwi is a highly recognizable symbol of Hawaii. They love to play in the O'hia Lehua tree, which is one of the first plants to grow after a fiery lava flow. The O'hia Lehua is resilient enough to withstand all of Pele's creations, and signifies "rebirth and the strength of love." For these reasons, I wanted to capture the beauty and uniqueness of both the I'iwi bird and the Ohio Lehua Tree on canvas.
