Tropical Torch Ginger

The Torch Ginger is one of the tallest, if not the tallest ginger found here in Hawaii. These flowers make nice, long lasting cut flowers for tropical arrangements. I spotted this spectacular flower with a most regal stance growing in the Wahiawa Botanical Garden. I immediately photographed it so that I could later recapture its beauty on canvas.
